Welcome to jt-3d's
Orbiter Page.

This is my fanboy page for the FREE space flight simulator, ORBITER.

ORBITER is a free space flight simulator which allows you to fly into space. Dock with the Mir or ISS. Visit the Moon or the other planets. ORBITER uses realistic physics so it has a steep learning curve but also has many different startup situations to get you going.

Having ruled the lower atmosphere with MS Flight Simulator, I was really glad to find ORBITER. Now the sky is no longer the limit. So check out the screenshots then check out ORBITER.

Blast off from Cape Canaveral.
Blast Off!

In orbit over Earth.
flying high

Having requested docking, an approach path shows up on the HUD.
The ISS glide slope

Lined up with the International Space Station.
The ISS

The line up for the Mir space station. That green stripe in the block is what would , on Earth, pass for an ILS glide slope except this one is moving away at an alarming rate.
just fly through the blocks!

On my way to the moon. (Actually I ran out of fuel on the next burn.) No one can help you now. You're in the hands of physics.
Now leaving planet Earth.

The volcano, Olympus Mons of Mars. Orbiter on the left and real on the right.

Docked with the Lunar Module.
I'm a LeM docking fool!!
